Early Life of Tessa Blanchard
Tessa was born in Charlotte, North Carolina, on July 26, 1995. Her parents are Joe Blanchard, a wrestling grandfather; Tully Blanchard, her father; and Magnum T.A. When the parents separated, she lived with her mother and stepfather, and her father visited her regularly. She was raised by her stepfather and had twin half-siblings and three biological siblings. She enjoyed musical theatre and acted in school plays. She was also part of the track team.
She later attended the University of North Carolina at Charlotte. She worked in a nightclub and had little close contact with her family. Her interest turned serious when she attended WWE’s induction of the Four Horsemen into the Hall of Fame in 2012. At 18, she trained at the Highspots Wrestling School in Charlotte under George South and Cedric Alexander. In 2014, she tried out for WWE but wasn’t offered a job.

Tessa Blanchard wrestled in the independent circuit to begin her career. She won the SHIMMER Tag Championship with Vanessa Kraven in 2016. She had a renowned career across various promotions, such as Queens of Combat and ECWA. She appeared in Lucha Underground and NXT, wrestling big matches and events.
