He serves as the lead rapper for the South Korean boy band 2 PM, which is associated with JYP Entertainment. Early Life Of Taec-yeon
On December 27, 1988, Taec-yeon was born in Seoul, South Korea. At the age of 10, he relocated to Bedford, Massachusetts, a small town in the Greater Boston vicinity, accompanied by his parents and older sister, Jihyen.
For a duration of seven years, Taecyeon was enrolled at Bedford High School, actively participating in various activities such as the National Honor Society, jazz band, JV soccer team, and chess club.
Then, Taecyeon completed his high school education at Young Dong High School in Seoul. After that, Taecyeon transferred to Dankook University to continue his undergraduate studies in business management.
Later, he continued his education by enrolling in the Graduate School of International Studies at the famous Korea University. He speaks English, Korean, and Japanese perfectly. Taecyeon proved his proficiency in the Busan dialect, known as the satori, in the KBS2 series Beautiful Days.

Career of Taec-yeon
Initially, Taec-yeon participated in 2008 Mnet’s Hot Blood Men program, which displays the 13 trainees’ preparation for joining the boy band One Day. This band gave rise to the boy bands 2 AM and 2 PM, the latter of which Ok Taecyeon joined.
The first single, Hottest Time of the Day, “10 Points out of 10 Points,” was released by 2 PM six months following the television premiere of Hot Blood. It was time for a change, and their popularity in Korea’s music industry truly took off. Next, Taecyeon appeared in the hit song “My Ear’s Candy”. In 2012, Taecyeon teamed up with fellow alumni from Dankook University for an exciting collaboration on the digital album Blue Bears.
The album was performed live during the matriculation ceremony at Dankook University. Additionally, a rendition of “A Night Like Tonight” by Lee Gwangjo was played as the second song. Taecyeon wrote the original song lyrics. In February 2012, the record went on sale, with all sales earnings were donated to the college.

Before canceling Family Outing 2, he co-hosted the music program Inkigayo with Wooyoung. His introduction to acting occurred with his first performance in the KBS TV series Cinderella’s Sister.
He subsequently featured in the highly praised drama “Dream High,” garnering acclaim both domestically and internationally. After that, FujiTV first reported in September 2011 that Taecyeon, actress Kim Tae-hee, and Japanese actor Nishijima Hidetoshi would all appear regularly in the Sunday drama Boku to Star no 99 Nichi. This is his first continuous role in a drama series from Japan.
Furthermore, in February of 2013, it was disclosed that Taecyeon and Taiwanese performer Emma Wu would co-star in the global edition of the reality television program We Got Married.
