Initially, Jinny was left out of the final lineup; she began her career as a trainee for YG Entertainment.

After five years, she departed the company at some point in 2018. She was rumored to be a member of Pink Punk, the group that later became Blackpink, even though she didn’t make the final roster and left YGE.
