The Dangote Group began a trading business in 1977, which later when Aliko Dangote moved to Lagos to grow the business. He borrowed ₦306,250 from his uncle, using loan to purchase cement, rice, and sugar to sell. The other in the 1990s, he proposed an idea to the Central Bank of Nigeria.
